One article, one useful purpose
An article should answer a real question or explain a relevant development. Similar guides should be combined when one complete answer would serve readers better.
Editorial standards
The standards for our property guides, news and construction coverage.

Reportable facts need supporting evidence. Calculations using assumed figures must say so. An asking price is not a completed transaction, and an illustrative rental yield is not proof of an area's investment performance.
News should identify who announced or reported the information and distinguish an announcement from completed work. Coverage based on another publication must acknowledge it. We do not present summaries as original reporting.
We do not claim a site visit, interview or professional inspection unless it took place. A rendering should not be described as a completed building. Photographs must be relevant and used with appropriate rights.
Paid placements must be identified. Relevant commercial relationships should be clear to readers. Commercial links must be qualified appropriately, and buying a placement must not buy a favourable conclusion.
Material errors should be corrected with a clear explanation where needed. Original publication dates should be preserved. New information belongs in a genuine update, not a changed date that makes an old article look newly reported.
