Central KL · On foot
There are useful connections between stations, malls and the Convention Centre. The catch is getting from your condo into that network.
A nearby landmark doesn’t tell you which entrance to use, whether a crossing is sheltered or what closes at night. Here are three connections worth knowing.

Connection 01
Suria KLCC to the Convention Centre
From KLCC LRT, follow the signs towards Suria KLCC. The Convention Centre’s directions place the tunnel entrance on Suria’s concourse level, between Maybank and Guardian. The tunnel continues to the Convention Centre concourse.
This gives you an indoor alternative to walking through the park. The Convention Centre’s access guide lists the tunnel as open from 6am to 11pm daily.
Keep the two links separate: the Suria tunnel is not the elevated walkway towards Pavilion. Don’t apply its opening hours to the entire journey, or assume your condo connects directly to either one.
If you’re choosing a home nearby, our KLCC living guide covers more than the walking route.
Connection 02
Bukit Bintang MRT towards Pavilion and KLCC
Pavilion’s official directions identify MRT Doors D and E for reaching the mall. That’s a more useful starting point than choosing an exit at random. It does not mean the MRT opens straight into Pavilion or that every part of the approach is covered.
From Pavilion, the Convention Centre directs visitors to the KLCC and Bukit Bintang walkway. Follow signs for the Convention Centre rather than treating the whole KLCC area as one destination.
If your destination is a restaurant or building on a side street, check where you need to leave the walkway. Being above the road doesn’t remove the final street crossing. See the Bukit Bintang lifestyle guide for the neighbourhood beyond this connection.

Connection 03
TRX MRT into The Exchange
The Exchange’s official arrival directions confirm a pedestrian link from the MRT station into the mall’s Concourse level. For a station to mall trip, this is the connection to look for instead of heading outside unnecessarily.
The confirmed link ends at the mall, not at every residence with a TRX address. Ask which entrance connects your candidate building to it. A map pin beside the district is not proof of a sheltered residential route.
The cited directions don’t establish overnight access. Check the link’s current access arrangements if you expect to return late. Our TRX MRT guide covers the wider commute.
What this means for a condo
Find the gap between home and the connection
The entrance
Use the resident door, not the edge of the property on a map. A rear entrance could change the route entirely, but check who can use it and when.
The change of level
A bridge or tunnel can involve stairs, escalators or lifts. If you need a route without steps, confirm every level change and the alternative when a lift is unavailable.
The closing time
A convenient daytime shortcut may depend on a mall or controlled entrance. Know the alternative street route before relying on it for your evening return.
Which area should you shortlist?
Start with the connection serving your real destination. KLCC and Bukit Bintang have the links described above; TRX has a confirmed station to mall connection. None of that proves an entire neighbourhood is equally easy to walk around.
For homes near BBCC, use the separate BBCC and Hang Tuah guide. This article does not verify that route.
